Calcium nitrate 15% is a classic fast-acting foliar fertilizer. It performs very well in acidic soils, as the contained calcium mitigates negative effects of soil acidity.

Usage:
It is recommended primarily for the supplementary fertilization of root crops, vegetables, pome fruits, stone fruits, small fruits, and grapevines, as well as for the immediate correction of calcium deficiencies in plant nutrition.
Dosage:
Due to the high mobility of nitrogen in the soil and the risk of leaching, the application of high rates of calcium nitrate is not recommended on light, sandy soils, in areas with high rainfall, or—in general—as single doses exceeding 30 g/m².
Recommended dosage in g/m²:
root and tuber crops: 20–40 in spring, 20–40 during the growing season
early potatoes: maximum of 18 during the growing season
brassicas and root vegetables: 20–40 in spring, 18–36 in split applications during the growing season
fruit vegetables: 18–24 in split applications during the growing season
legumes: 14 in split applications during the growing season
pome and stone fruits: 18–36 in split applications during the growing season
small fruits (depending on yield): strawberries – max. 36 in split applications during the growing season
grapevine throughout growing season 8-10
